What is your role
This is a senior level Business Partner role that is accountable for all People & Culture related matters including employee relations, performance management, investigations, compliance and training for their assigned location(s) as well as corporate. This is a hands-on, role up your sleeves, walk the floor position where HR is visible, welcoming, and supportive and seeks to find solutions or solve problems to enhance business and employee performance. This role is responsible for maintaining all employee and personnel records and ensuring all records current and accurate, ensuring accurate and timely communications to employees regarding payroll, benefits, compensation, policies, procedures, and onboarding/offboarding. This role drives the recruiting and employment cycle and ensures compliance with Company policies and employment law requirements. This role also works to foster a healthy work environment and drive a positive work culture.
The Work You'll Do
- Acts as a primary people point of contact for assigned location(s). Coaches, trains and provides perspective on people and culture programs. Connects with employees to drive culture, and support “listening programs” to identify retention and ER concerns. Elevates and executes talent development initiatives, succession planning and enhanced talent bench.
- This role is responsible for supporting our key corporate functions as well. Responsible for succession planning, Talent Bench and Training for corporate as well as Plant.
- Responsible for the full recruiting cycle to include filling open positions with top talent for assigned location(s), working with hiring managers to define / design jobs specifications, prepares / updates job descriptions, creates job ads to promote openings, evaluates candidates, participates in the interview process and ensures a good candidate experience that will assist to and builds the GWPG Employer Brand.
- Partners and drives talent management initiatives, including: training and development, development of GWPG’s leadership competencies, development and execution of Individual Development Plans (IDP), succession planning, building talent bench
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring as needed complex and/or sensitive matters to the Field People LeaderCompletes Employee Relations investigations, develops and executes follow-up actions as a result of investgations as appropriate.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations,; reviews policies and practices and procedures to ensure compliance. Helps deliver, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory employee training(s),
- Responsible for the completion of the offboarding process including conducting exit interviews, collecting, reviewing and analyzing turnover data, and partnering with plant leadership to drive continuous improvement to increase employee satisfaction and retention.
- Conducts fact-finding investigations as needed. Advises and supports supervisors and managers on the performance management process to include development and execution of performance appraisals, coaching, counseling and execution of progressive discipline as required.
- Analyzes business and “people” metrics to identify areas of opportunity for improvement. Partners with plant leadership to develop and execute plans for business and “people” metric improvements. Leads employee retention initiatives and is actively involved in employee engagement activities (stay interviews, engagement surveys, etc).
- Partners with internal customers to provide answers to HR-related questions for team members. Coordinates with HR support staff to process and maintain employee changes, attendance, and other records as needed. Prepares and distributes pertinent employee communications as needed.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources Management highly preferred. (SPHR with comparable HRBP experience will be considered)
- Five years minimum experience as a human resources business partner
- Manufacturing experience highly preferred.

If hired, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education. In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year.

The Maintenance Electrician position works in all aspects of maintenance with an emphasis on electrical machine maintenance.
What you will do
- Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacement of electric and electronic equipment.
- Troubleshooting and repair of electronic and electrical controls associated with manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Mechanical repairs as well as minor fabrication as required.
- Perform preventative maintenance and other maintenance needs as requested.
- Keep work areas clean, restock all unused items, and return all tools to their proper location.
- Keep abreast of current policies on both general safety and chemical safety.
What you will bring on the table
- Maintenance Electrician candidates should have a minimum of three years experience in a manufacturing, electrical or electronic maintenance environment.
- A two year technical degree in electronics, electrical, or electromechanical technology is preferred.

The Role You’ll Play
As an Quality & Environmental Safety Manager, you are responsible for leading environmental, quality (quality assurance and quality control) and safety programs (IIPP & SHP) for the organization, including, but not limited to: developing and maintaining environmental, safety and quality management systems; serving as a key focal point for internal and external audits; leading the internal corrective action/material review board process; collaborating with department leadership to develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs); integrating and collaborating with key operations and support stakeholders to ensure procedures are being followed; conducting training and tracking for continuous improvement projects as required; generating, sending and filing compliance certifications as required; and other duties as assigned.
This role is based out of our City of Industry, CA location reporting into the Director of Operations.
Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain the environmental, safety and quality management systems based on ISO 9001, Cal/EPA, Cal/OSHA, FSC/SFI and other pertinent regulations.
- Develop policies and procedures to meet regulatory compliance with regulatory agencies and industry certification. Integrate and collaborate with key operations stakeholders to support the implementation and conduct training as needed to ensure the performance of company procedures.
- Lead the internal corrective action processes to resolve production issues by collaborating with department leaders to investigate issues, identifying and documenting root cause and corrective actions.
- Serve as a key focal point for internal and external audits, including areas such as coordinating pre/post-audit leadership meetings for preparation/lesson learned, to leading presentations and discussions with internal/external customers and documenting key findings.
- Data entry and tracking for continuous improvement projects as needed.
- Sending and filing compliance certifications as needed.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science preferred. Equivalent work experience in environmental safety, quality assurance, quality control, or safety and quality management systems will also be considered.
- 3+ years of leading environmental, safety, and quality systems in a manufacturing setting with the ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and concepts easily (paper printing or corrugated manufacturing is a plus.)
- Strong working knowledge of supervising manufacturing operations with a large employee base, in a fast-paced, high-volume custom fabrication or relevant industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience and knowledge in California regulatory standards in environmental, health & safety.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams, management, and all levels of people across multiple departments.
- Lean mentality, a focus on quality, and a proven track record of identifying and contributing to the implementation of continuous safety, quality, and process improvements. Experience with Six Sigma is a plus.
- Strong aptitude in diagnosing and taking corrective action to drive safety, quality, machine efficiency, and production processes.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate as a coach and conduct training presentations to all levels of employees.
- Ability to drive operational performance through data-driven decision-making and KPI’s.
- Ability and flexibility to think, react, and adapt quickly to changing demands, challenges, and requirements.
- Highly organized, self-starter
- Computer literacy with proficiency in the use of production planning/management systems, as well as MS Office platform.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to calculate figures, measurements, percentages, and totals.
- Ability to work on the production floor and travel to various locations as needed.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to influence and work with all levels of people.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
